High Precision Injection Molding

By developing the worlds first direct driven fully electric Injection Molding Machine, OTB created an IMM with many unique specifics, capable of molding extreme flat substrates, nano-structures and high precision parts. As a fully electrical system it is ready for clean room operation and capable of energy efficient production at low noise levels. The modular design allows easy set up of the modules in different configurations, enabling maximum flexibility for client specific requirements.

Hot embossing

A good example of the modularity of the IMM system is the use of the clamping unit and temperature controller modules for building a hot embossing system. In this system the unique capability of tuning the parallelism of the clamping plates enabled us to emboss micro structures into thin foil.
